Parents! Let’s Align
For Parents: Let’s Work Together
We believe that the child’s growth flourishes best when parents and educators unite as partners. Beyond focusing on the students, we build a strong collaboration with parents to nurture every aspect of our child’s development.
-
School Timings
Studies highlight that the schedule for pre-primary children greatly influences their learning. The best time for classes is from 7:50 in the morning to 11:40. During these hours, children are naturally more energetic and attentive, allowing them to absorb lessons more effectively.
-
Communication Is Key
Our teachers are committed to maintaining open and honest dialogue with parents. We welcome your feedback and promptly address any questions or concerns you may have to ensure your child’s needs are met.
-
Health Records
In compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act, we require each child’s immunization records. Alternatively, parents may submit a formal statement if they object on religious or personal grounds.
-
Handling Accidents
Should a child have an accident at school, our staff will immediately administer basic first aid. If further medical treatment is necessary, we will contact you without delay. In urgent cases, emergency services will be called to ensure the safety of the child.
-
Extra Clothing
To be prepared for any unforeseen situations, every child must bring an extra set of clothes. These will be kept with their teachers and used if needed during the school day.
-
Nutrition and Meals
Proper nutrition is vital for raising children. A well-balanced diet forms the foundation for a healthy lifestyle. We provide parents with detailed guidelines on what to pack in their child’s lunchbox, promoting a variety of nutritious foods during snacks and mealtimes.
Healthy Eating for Kids
Nothing beats wholesome home-cooked foods!
Children thrive on wholesome, home-cooked meals. As caregivers, it’s our duty to provide a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. These not only supply essential nutrients but also encourage lifelong healthy eating habits. While processed and high-calorie foods may seem convenient, they lack nutritional benefits and may contribute to health issues such as obesity. A balanced daily intake from diverse food groups is the best approach.
Understanding children’s behaviour
Guiding Behavior
It’s essential to use positive, consistent strategies to support children in learning which behaviors are acceptable during play and social interactions.
Recommended Methods
- Praise and gentle encouragement for good behavior
- Redirection when behavior is inappropriate
- Clear verbal instructions, supported by kind physical guidance when needed
- Teaching self-discipline and reinforcing good habits through practice
- Offering choices appropriate to the child’s age and helping them follow through
Not Allowed
- Any form of physical punishment such as spanking, hitting, or shaking
- Harsh or degrading actions like verbal abuse, threats, or yelling that damage self-esteem
- Denying basic needs such as food, clothing, or shelter
- Confined isolation in locked rooms or locking exits to restrict freedom
